CONTAMINATION IS A SHOCKWAVE
landscape design
Starting with the abstract notion of contamination, this project delves deep into the anthropological themes that define our modern society. Its aim is to evoke and communicate emotions and reflections within the meticulously designed spaces it encompasses.
At its core, “Contamination is Shockwave” draws inspiration from the concept of a shockwave, a term rooted in the desire to examine the consequences of actions on the present moment and the resonance they create in the surrounding context. Viewed through a phenomenological lens, a shockwave remains an invisible phenomenon, discernible only as a force exerted upon an object. The tangible outcome of this force is deformation, made evident through the very nature of how the shockwave propagates. As such, a shockwave can only be apprehended through the observable effects it generates.
The project is currently exhibited at 3M headquarters in Milan, Italy.
